SUMMER CASUAL

It's too hot for life right now. I just want to grab a chair and sit in front of a freezer until the sun goes down. I seriously can't wait until Fall is here. I'm so over Summer right now. We know you a real G sun, you don't have to keep it 100 no more, lol.

Tropical Print Top: Image, Belt: Vintage, Shorts c/o The Vintage Closet
Boots: eBay (similar), Socks: Stance

To escape the heat, I wore my lightest top I own (which happens to be from Image) and loose fitting high-waisted shorts. I wanted to keep my look super casual so I put on Stance Chicano socks and my awesome tawny ebay boots from good ol' China. I guess in a way, I kind of look like a hobo - but a chic hobo, if that's cool. I don't know? lol, just something comfortable and will keep me from sweating up a river. Ew.

Sad news! Someone put my tropical set (top + skater skirt) into the dryer and they totally shrunk! I can still wear the top (what I'm wearing above) but the skirt is too short now! The only way I can wear it is if I wear leggings or a super long cardigan. *sad face* Do you have a remedy of wearing short skater skirts?

FIREWORKS

Happy early 4th of July! I'm posting this up a bit early because unfortuately I work tomorrow. Good thing I'll be out before the fireworks starts, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing! No plans at all. Lets hope things work out for me! *fingers crossed* What do you guys have plans for the holiday? BBQ? Fireworks? Staying at home and watch marathons on Netflix? Now that's something I definitely might do, lol.

Joni Wide Brim Hat c/o Calico, Kendall & Kylie Bustier: Rocket Clothing Exchange (similar), Ombre Shorts c/o The Vintage Closet, Ralph Lauren Long Sleeve: Thrifted,
Jewelry/Belt/Sandals: Vintage

Of course I wanted to keep this look traditional by wearing the colors of the U.S flag, but without incorporating the design. Kinda of refreshing, right? I'm wearing my Joni Wide Brim hat from Calico (again, I'm sorry but it's just so perfect!)- a blue striped bustier with awesome zipper detailing from Kendall & Kylie's collection at Pacsun I got a long time ago. To be honest, it's a little big in the boobs area so I wore a push-up bra to fill in the extra space in the tank (#clevergirlthings). The bustier is currently sold out, but here's something similar here. I paired the bustier with a loose fitting high waisted ombre shorts that was sent to me awhile back from The Vintage Closet and a red plaid Ralph Lauren long sleeve tied around my waist to give my look some edge. I'm also wearing my comfy thrifted sandals. All in all, my look is complete and somewhat American, lol. ♡

PARADISE

I think music impacts everyday of our lives, no matter the time, place, or person. I like to surround myself with calm relaxing music when I'm typing out my thoughts on here because I feel like (oddly as this sounds) I'm placing myself in a vulnerable place with no fear of judgment. Like, it seriously releases all my stress and worries for literally 3 minutes of my life that I can never get back, and I have no problem with that.
I'm sure everyone has that special artist they listen to when they want to relax, get inspired, or just want to work out. Tell me some of your favorite artists that you can never get tired of.

Also, in other news, I got a few accomplishments that happened to me yesterday and this morning. First, I'm not sure if you guys know yet, but I'm still learning how to drive right now. Well I drove for the first time in the main streets last night, yes in the night time, and it really freaked me out but I did it! Second, I'm finally going back to school after a 2 year break. I will be attending a community college first and then I would like to transfer to Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to major in Fashion Merchandising and minor in Visual Communications. I seriously have big goals in the next few years. Then finally, I have my first interview soon! That means no more being broke and I can finally buy some new shoes, not because I need them, but to satisfy the shopping addiction that I have been having withdrawls lately lol.

Cardigan: Takeout, League Crop Top: Hellz Bellz, Shorts: c/o The Vintage Closet, Nike: Airmax

Speaking of shoes, I have tons of shoes that I rarely wear like my Nike Airmaxs. I wanted to get the dust off of them so I included in them in today's blogpost. I wanted to do a sporty streetwear look so I brought out my Hellz Bellz League Crop Top to add an urban look but soften the look so I don't look too tomboy, I'm wearing my Takeout cardigan. Now I look like I'm about to work out, but nah.

COMO LA FLOR

My world is not in the right position lately. I'm either in a outfit block, uninspired, or my mind is on another thing. Either way, I need to get my priorities straight. Maybe it's the fact that I'm never really home, so I should just start recording my adventures, but then again, I need a working camera...

Excuse me while I in 3rd person so I can figure out what the hell I need to do in order to be that girl I was before I moved to California. Is it the lack of personality that I'm currently sheltering due to change of environment? Do I feel like I'm home yet? Or maybe it's the lack of motivation that I'm not allowing into my life. Whatever it is, it is affecting my life quite a bit right now.

In order to get out of this - whatever you want to call it, artist block, maybe - I started a routine of working out, eating food in the morning (which I never do), and making sure my surroundings is somewhat neat (I still need to work on that).

That's enough of me loathing around, I hope I didn't get you guys depressed!

The Grace Crown: Como La Flor, Necklace: Rocket Clothing Exchange, Crop Top: Heritage 1981, Shorts: The Vintage Closet, Shoes: Vintage

Too brighten up the mood, look at my cute ass floral headbands I got from one of my favorite little shop, Como La Flor! I had some hand bands from them previously but unfortunately they got ruined so this girl was a happy camper when they offered to send me some more! Not only are they precious, but they're definitely perfect for Spring or if you're one of those lucky son of a guns who's going to Coachella! They're not expensive at all and have great quality. Make sure to check out their store and follow them on instagram!

ALL YOU'RE WAITING FOR

I'm back from my little hiatus with new inspiration, motivation, and new found love for a shop called The Pizza Shuttle (bacon, sausage, and cream cheese pizza is my new found love!). Last week I saw my love Chaz from Toro y Moi. I was straight fan-girling over him! I mean, he's my #MCM for the rest of my life! Well there, Classixx was opening up for them and feel in love with their poppy, "funky" tunes. Hence the name of this blogpost!

Hat: Windsor, Lace Tank Top: Express, Cardigan: Decree, Shorts: The Vintage Closet, Socks: Forever 21, Boots: Armkel

I guess I'm going to be freezing my ass off today but that's okay because I look cute, right? We all have dilemmas like this but I choose to dress to impress lol. I mean I'm wearing this super soft Decree cardigan that I'm head over heels for! Hey, I got it for $8.00 so I'm a very happy gal.

If you don't own over the knee socks or thigh highs, how are you living?! I'm a California girl so I obviously feel more comfortable in shorts than anything and Kansas won't stop me from rocking them in the cold. Buy a pair because they're essential for Fall and Winter!

THIS GIRL

I'm so excited to announce that I will be attending Kansas City Fashion Week! I will be doing coverage to demonstrate the style life that KC has to offer. I will definitely will be snapping pictures away like crazy and pick my favorite outfits from both designers and attendees.

This is going to be my first time ever attending Fashion week so it's a big deal to me, lol. Ugh, I'm just excite to meet fellow bloggers in my area and hopefully create new friends that have the same interests in me when it comes to fashion. Psh, I already have two outfits ready for the events lol!
Sunglasses: Choies, Tank: Thrifted, Kimono: H&M, Shorts: The Vintage Closet, Boots: Chictopia, Purse: Rocket Clothing Exchange

I haven't worn my H&M kimono for quite some time now so I decided today was perfect weather to bring out the blossoms. I wanted to wear something pretty casual today but of course, there's really no such thing as casual because I'm not a casual girl at all, unless I feel like crap and hate the world lol. I wore my boots out for the first time today to try and break them in at work and yeeeeah, I lasted 3 hours straight moving around. I'm definitely going to have to get some foot padding to wear my babies.
