   Hi everyone! Hope all is well and that you're just excited for Spring just as much as I am. It's just around that time for midterms and I should be studying but ya know, procrastination lol. Or if you're lucky, you're already on Spring Break lol. I still have a whole month until I go on Spring Break but I definitely have plans. I want to go to San Diego for the first time and go sight seeing. If you've been there before, let me know what you're favorite to do out there was! ♡

   In hope of Spring, I did not realize it was still going to be cold and gloomy -- my least favorite type of weather. Not to mention it was super windy too. I decided to do somewhat of a layering to keep myself warm by pairing my H&M bustier and Forever 21 cardigan. I also wore my all time favorite pair of jeans from Zara. They're so comfortable and fit my skinny legs so well, definitely the best purchase of 2015 so far. And finally I wore these strappy pale pink boots that I got for only $15! Unfortunately I forgot the name of the shoe store, sorry!

HARDCORE BASICS

I'm back in my room. Womp. It was actually pretty warm today for the 2nd day of Autumn. Today I had my principles of sewing class and holy crap. I don't think I've ever been this stressed out where I actually get headaches. We were using the serger machine to practice our overlapping stitch and it seriously scared the crap out of me. We also started practicing hemming pieces which I'm totally excited about because I can finally alter my PYLO Gypsy Denim Bellbottoms that I've been dying to wear! The only thing stopping me is my 5'2 height and tiny, tiny feet. I actually might do it tonight to see how it works out! Lets pray to the tailor gods that I do this right, lol.

I've practically been living in white slouchy tees and distressed denim ever since school started. Am I depressed to say that? Hell no. Would 16-year old me be depressed to hear that? Hell yes. I think it's odd how peoples style has change over the year. When I first started blogging, I was all about mix-matching prints, high waisted shorts, nylons, and boots; a.k.a the "grunge" or "vintage" style. Now I feel that I calmed down from the pile of prints went towards a more "college" kid look of minimalistic. And I mean, you can't get any simpler than a white tee, distressed jeans, a layer of necklaces, and chunky sandals.

Very tired. It seems like all I post about is me being tired and just wanting to eat and sleep all day, but I can't sadly. This post was supposed to be up 3 days ago but I lost my SD card! I was seriously freaking out about it because I wanted to blog that night. Lucky for me, I found it the next day -  in my baby sisters backpack for some reason? Like, I don't even want to put in much thought into it because I just don't care because I found it lol. It sucks that I have the worst memory ever. *le sigh*

I don't know if you guys noticed, but I've been into wearing black pieces with denim. I seriously think that's what I'm going to be wearing all Fall! I had to bring out my Very Vile Hentai Jersey before the cold winds come out of nowhere and be horribly cold. And everything else, I'm sure you're sick and tired of me wearing these already. I'm sorry! (but not really)

Also, out with the gold, in with the silver. Having basic metallics like this can really give your look a subtle pop. My first purchase were these blank dog tags from Image. I'm stocking up on all the silver I can now. I think this season is the season of silvers, denims, and black(at least for me)! What do you guys think is going to be big this season? ♡

VULNERABLE

So I may have taken an extra day off from the world, but I'm back with a little inspiration. It's odd that I took one day off and then suddenly I'm lost in the world. I guess it's one of the weird lessons saying that you can never take a day off from working hard... or somthing. I'm just so happy to be back though. I have a lot of catching up to do!

Here's another basic look where I was too lazy to iron my top and actually stand. Woah there Alexis, you're showing your bra here. What the heck is going on?! Well you see, I think this top is actually in plus size because no way should this medium be falling off of me like this! I really like the basic print of the top with such a light material, perfect for the heat. I paired it with my wide brim hat, favorite Bullhead distressed jeans and tawny boots I purchased off of eBay (woot! woot!).

FIREWORKS

Happy early 4th of July! I'm posting this up a bit early because unfortuately I work tomorrow. Good thing I'll be out before the fireworks starts, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing! No plans at all. Lets hope things work out for me! *fingers crossed* What do you guys have plans for the holiday? BBQ? Fireworks? Staying at home and watch marathons on Netflix? Now that's something I definitely might do, lol.

Of course I wanted to keep this look traditional by wearing the colors of the U.S flag, but without incorporating the design. Kinda of refreshing, right? I'm wearing my Joni Wide Brim hat from Calico (again, I'm sorry but it's just so perfect!)- a blue striped bustier with awesome zipper detailing from Kendall & Kylie's collection at Pacsun I got a long time ago. To be honest, it's a little big in the boobs area so I wore a push-up bra to fill in the extra space in the tank (#clevergirlthings). The bustier is currently sold out, but here's something similar here. I paired the bustier with a loose fitting high waisted ombre shorts that was sent to me awhile back from The Vintage Closet and a red plaid Ralph Lauren long sleeve tied around my waist to give my look some edge. I'm also wearing my comfy thrifted sandals. All in all, my look is complete and somewhat American, lol. ♡
