AMICLUBWEAR PAISLEY TWO PIECE

Hello my lovely readers! Hope is well and everyone is having an excited school week so far! I just finished my first week of school and I've been studying non-stop. I'm trying to balance between school, blogging, and soon-to-be work. What has everyone been up to for the past week? Any exciting things happen that you would like to share with me? I love catching up with everyone! ♡

I'm so in love with this red paisley top + skirt set that AMICLUBWEAR was so kind to gift me! It's super lightweight so there's no way of sweating while wearing this. The cropped top is a halter style with an adjustable back tie with a rounded neckline. This is my first time wearing a halter top and I love the way it looks! I just have trouble trying to hide my bra-straps. If you have any advice or suggestions on how to hide them, please let me know asap! I matched the set with my trusty chunky Steve Madden sandals. I need to get a new pair because my babies are starting to get worn out. ):

1994

Summer is finally coming to an end soon and that means back to school for the Fall semester. This will be my second year of college and I'm pretty excited to attend Santa Monica College! I'm pursing a career in Fashion/Visual Merchandising. Any of you guys starting school or already started school? Tell me what you guys are pursuing a career!

Cat Denim Jacket: UNIF
Shorts: Thrifted

This whole look was based around 90's for the Steve Madden x Nordstrom contest that I found out from Eugenie from Feral Creature! I think I was going for a total 90's valley girl because in all honesty, that's what I am at heart. You can peep my Pinterest to see where I got my 90'a inspiration from. Now for the look, I based it all around denim and funky designs. I wore some thrifted high-waisted shorts and a crop top from AMIClubwear, with my UNIF jacket. To finish off the outfit, of course I had to wear my all time favorite Steve Madden chunky sandals. Is this not screaming 90's to you? lol.

Want to join the 90's fun? Show your best 90's look for a chance to win a trip to NYC to hangout with Steve Madden himself! Post your look on Instagram with hashtag #SMxNordstrom to enter. The top interpretations will be featured on Nordstrom.com. Let me know if you guys are going to entered so I can be on the look out! Can't wait to see!

OFFICIAL PYLO BABE

I'm trying so hard not to talk about how effin' tired I am right now, but it is so hard because that's the way I feel. Happy 1st day of October! Are you guys ready for the sweater weather, eating pounds of candy until you're in a candy coma, and of course dressing up for Halloween? My answer, hell yes. The the moment I started wearing jeans again is the moment I want the cold breeze to start and the simmering sun to calm down and take a break until next year. You guys have any thoughts on your costumes yet? I think I'm leaning towards Harley Quinn. ♡

Crop Top: Image
Coin Necklace: Dollar Store

YAAAAASSSSSS. I finally get to wear my PYLO Gypsy Denim Bellbottoms that I've been drooling over for ages! I won these a while back from Jill of Little Black Boots competition (check out her blog for awesome mod/boho looks & inspiration). The fit of these jeans are beyond amazing and actually fit true to size, well besides the length. The length of the jeans were super long for me so I actually had to alter them to my height (5'2) so they wouldn't drag on the floor. I love that they're super high-waisted and what better way to style high-waisted jeans than a classic b&w striped crop top from Image?  Also, to give myself a little more height, I wore my Schoolz Sandals since they're mini platforms. This girl is currently 3 inches closer to heaven. ♡

RED, BLACK, & METALLICS

Happy friday everyone! I'm spending my day watching Saturday Night Live and possibly going to the thrift store since I got a 40% off coupon! Yes, this is the highlight of my day, lol. Well also I have to work on a group project for my Intro to Fashion class. I have to create a line of clothing for all the consumer groups. Luckily, I got Generation X, which shouldn't be difficult. Even though I want to sleep & eat.

Plaid Overalls: Melrose Shop
White top: J. Crew

I really, really like this outfit! This look was inspired by fashion blogger Alyssa from Ordinary People's NYFW look. Definitely check her blog out if you enjoy minimalistic looks and great photos for inspiration. To create a look similar I wore MeUndies Rawk Tank, a pair of nylons that I haven't worn in FOREVER, Schoolz Sandals, bright red overalls I bought in Melrose, J. Crew top tied around my waist, and of course layers necklace.

I love how red & black is becoming trendy this season. The pop of color to a minimal/simple outfit is really refreshing. Of course you have to add a hint of metallic elements to the look, but that's just my personal preference. ♡

HARDCORE BASICS

I'm back in my room. Womp. It was actually pretty warm today for the 2nd day of Autumn. Today I had my principles of sewing class and holy crap. I don't think I've ever been this stressed out where I actually get headaches. We were using the serger machine to practice our overlapping stitch and it seriously scared the crap out of me. We also started practicing hemming pieces which I'm totally excited about because I can finally alter my PYLO Gypsy Denim Bellbottoms that I've been dying to wear! The only thing stopping me is my 5'2 height and tiny, tiny feet. I actually might do it tonight to see how it works out! Lets pray to the tailor gods that I do this right, lol.

Bullhead Distressed Denim: Pacsun
Blank Dog Tags Necklace: Image

I've practically been living in white slouchy tees and distressed denim ever since school started. Am I depressed to say that? Hell no. Would 16-year old me be depressed to hear that? Hell yes. I think it's odd how peoples style has change over the year. When I first started blogging, I was all about mix-matching prints, high waisted shorts, nylons, and boots; a.k.a the "grunge" or "vintage" style. Now I feel that I calmed down from the pile of prints went towards a more "college" kid look of minimalistic. And I mean, you can't get any simpler than a white tee, distressed jeans, a layer of necklaces, and chunky sandals.

AMI CLUBWEAR X ALEXISSPLASH

AMI Clubwear is a women's clothing shop located in Southern California that carry trendy, fashion-forward clothing, killer shoes, and amazing accessories. AMI Clubwear was kind enough to let me choose anything, literally, anything from their website to style here on my blog. Below, I chose to style these Denim Distressed Overalls and Shaggy Faux Fur Mini Tote Handbag.

Crochet Bralette: Image
Phone Case: eBay

The Denim Overalls is 100% polyester and totally essential for every girl for this summer and next. The distressed details gives it an grungy look and what works well with grunge other than the color black?! I've been having a weird love for pairing distressed denim with all things black (if you haven't noticed in the Boyfriend Jeans post lol ). It just works to so well together! I paired it with MeUndies lightweight Rawk Tank (not going to lie, it's great for showing off skin, which I like to do but in a subtle way, ya know?), Image's crochet bralette, Steve Madden's chunky Schoolz Sandals, and of course the fun Faux Fur Mini Tote Handbag, which I'm in love with! I love all things faux fur because it adds such an oomf to the outfit. The bag came with an adjustable strap, which I like to wear mine pretty long because I'm too lazy to hold it by the handle lol. It's pretty spacy and I can actually fit my camera in it! Say hello to my new stylish camera bag!
