GOOD AT BEING BAD

Work and friends do not work together at all. After work last night, I went to Sonic happy hour for some milkshakes with a friends and was some how out until 2am, not knowing that I had work at 10am. Yeah, I know. I'm an idiot that apparently "can't hang," lol. It was a fun weird night though! After Sonic, we went to a friends house and played UNO and I ended up winning! Yeah, I used to play that game everyday in my freshman year of high school lol. Then we somehow ended up watching Mean Girls (note: I was the only girl there lol). Now just imagine 21 year old guys watching Mean Girls and actually laughing. Such a weird image, right? lol.

Now I'm home and exhausted as hell! Sorry for being inconsistent with my blog. I'm still not used to juggling work, blogging, and having a social life at the same time. Please don't hate me!

Being Bad Shirt: Hellz Bellz

I was going through my closet and noticed I don't have enough white shirts and when I say this, the phrase "you can never have enough white tees" was going through my mind, hence the reason I need more! I bought this Hellz Bellz "Being Bad" tee during their $100 mystery box promotion during Black Friday. Of course Hellz Bellz being my favorite women's streetwear brand because of their badass attitude and women power graphic tees, I couldn't resist it! I made adjustments to the tee so I can actually wear it during the summer. I cut off the sleeves and made it into a muscle tank. I want to give it a distressed look inspired by UNIF so I cut some holes into for detailing. A nice little DIY! ♡

PARADISE

I think music impacts everyday of our lives, no matter the time, place, or person. I like to surround myself with calm relaxing music when I'm typing out my thoughts on here because I feel like (oddly as this sounds) I'm placing myself in a vulnerable place with no fear of judgment. Like, it seriously releases all my stress and worries for literally 3 minutes of my life that I can never get back, and I have no problem with that.
I'm sure everyone has that special artist they listen to when they want to relax, get inspired, or just want to work out. Tell me some of your favorite artists that you can never get tired of.

Also, in other news, I got a few accomplishments that happened to me yesterday and this morning. First, I'm not sure if you guys know yet, but I'm still learning how to drive right now. Well I drove for the first time in the main streets last night, yes in the night time, and it really freaked me out but I did it! Second, I'm finally going back to school after a 2 year break. I will be attending a community college first and then I would like to transfer to Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising to major in Fashion Merchandising and minor in Visual Communications. I seriously have big goals in the next few years. Then finally, I have my first interview soon! That means no more being broke and I can finally buy some new shoes, not because I need them, but to satisfy the shopping addiction that I have been having withdrawls lately lol.

Cardigan: Takeout, League Crop Top: Hellz Bellz, Shorts: c/o The Vintage Closet, Nike: Airmax

Speaking of shoes, I have tons of shoes that I rarely wear like my Nike Airmaxs. I wanted to get the dust off of them so I included in them in today's blogpost. I wanted to do a sporty streetwear look so I brought out my Hellz Bellz League Crop Top to add an urban look but soften the look so I don't look too tomboy, I'm wearing my Takeout cardigan. Now I look like I'm about to work out, but nah.

FOREVER

It's a miracle! I'm actually outside taking photos outside despite my shyness (after my my marathon of The Amazing World of Gumball of course.)

Anyway, I went job searching again yesterday and I felt like I was SO close to getting a job at Forever 21. There was only one thing that kind of got in the way which was just a mistake on my application. If I work there, I would probably be the happiest gal in the fashion world. Let's hope that I get a call back soon for an interview! Fingers are definitely crossed.
Sunglasses: Wow Vintage, Being Bad Tote Bag, Hellz Bellz, Kimono: Rocket Clothing Exchange, Tribal Crop Top: Forever 21, High Waisted Shorts: Vintage, Schoolz Sandals: Steve Madden

Speaking of Forever 21, I am so in love with this tribal bustier from Forever 21! It's totally perfect for this upcoming music festivals, if you're that lucky son-of-a-gun. This outfit (obviously you can tell) is inspired by music festival looks. If I was going to one, I would wear this the first day! This look is actually combined with the festival must haves:
  • Crop tops
  • High waisted shorts
  • Chunky sandals
  • Big sunglasses
  • Kimonos
If you want to stay on trend while you're out with you're awesome friends, make sure to bring these!

GIRL BOSS HUNGER

As I'm sitting here typing this, my stomach is currently growling for food but I'm too lazy to get up to and find something to eat. Maybe because in the back of my head my conscience is telling me that there is no food in the fridge. In a time like this, I wish there was a breakfast delivery place around here or just in general! It would be so convenient if there was a donut place that deliveries, they would make so much money and I would be one happy girl in the world.
Hat: Hellz Bellz, Necklace: Archetype Collective, Kill City Jacket: Colfax KC,
Top: Rocket Clothing Exchange, Shorts: Thrifted, Sandals: Steve Madden

I stopped by my favorite boutique Colfax KC in Kansas City, MO the other day and got super cute pieces! I love going here because they support independent fashion brands and jewelers, not to mention local designers as well! Of course I always have the greatest time there thanks to Nikki! She showed me a few pieces of her boutique and I automatically fell in love with this Kill City jacket!

I can literally wear my Kill City Jacket everyday if I wanted to. Plus you can never go wrong with an army inspired jacket with kickass patches and studded detailing. I wanted to pair it up with a basic outfit with a total streetwear vibe hence the Hellz Bellz hat. And of course I have to wear my current favorite pair of sandals to finish the look.

Be sure to follow and like Colfax KC on their Instagram ( @ColfaxKC) and Facebook! And if you're ever in the Kansas City, MO side, be sure to stop by the boutique, I promise you won't be disappointed!

SPONSOR POST : WOW VINTAGE XX

CAMERA UPDATE: My camera battery officially died hence the reason why I haven't been able to update lately. It only hit me earlier that OH, my brother has a camera too! Why haven't I been using it?! Common sense totally left me there -.-

Gene Round Sunglasses: Wow Vintage, Top: Free People. Shorts: Forever 21, Socks: Forever 21,
Boots: eBay, Tote Bag: Hellz Bellz

You have no idea how fierce I feel when I put these amazing Gene Round Sunglasses on from Wow Vintage! I always needed a pair of big sunglasses to compliment my big hair when I go out so I can completely hide from the sun.....and people. Also the gold frames makes it easier to match up with my jewelry because I literally have no silver jewelry whatsoever. Thank you so much Kathryn for sending me them, they're officially my new babies! xx

I wanted to pair my sunglasses with of course a bohemian look just because I get Janis Joplin vibe when I wear them. All I'm missing is a smile and tons of bangles then I would totally have the look!

You want to see more sunglasses that Wow Vintage has at a waaaaaay affordable price? Check out their website HERE and like them on FACEBOOK!

I'M A MOTEL ROCKS BABY NOW

First post of the year! Have you guys brainstormed on your News Year resolutions yet? Can I get a show of hands who already said "screw it," and went back on eating pizza and hot cheetos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner please? I don't think I've made any resolutions yet besides keep getting better at what I'm doing now and stop being a lazy ass. Actually, there is one thing I would like to improve about myself. I'm tired of being a hermit and want to become a social (but still a bit awkward) butterfly. So far I think I'm doing pretty swell.

Hat: Hellz Bellz, Necklace: Perilin, Jacket: Unif, Dress: Motel Rocks, Boots: Armkel

I love, luv, <3 my cute ass Motel Rocks dress I bought from blogger babe Courtney of  The Style Playlist! The faux leather detailing is perf, the ombre gives my look close to an angelic look (well until it became conquered by pure darkness), and I'm super short, so for the length not the reach the floor gives it +200 cool points! Talk about the perfect dress, huh? I truly love it so thank you so much Courtney! <333

Also, looking for someone who is willing to do artwork for my banner! New year means new banner! Email at AlexisSplash[at]gmail.com! Willing to pay <3
