CALIFORNIA CLICHE

Before you guys look at my photos, I want to apologize ahead of time of making a fool out of myself. My septum piercing is crooked. I mean REALLY crooked. Like one side of my ring is like "screw you!" to the other side. With that being said, you can now continue on with the post.

I found this awesome co-ords, well more like it found me, while I was working. Thank god the lady didn't want it or else I would have never found this baby! Perks of working fitting rooms for 6 - 9 hours, muahaha.

Tropical Co-ords: Image (similar), Purse: Miche, Sandals: Thrifted

What can I say? This palm tree print top and skirt is just the perfect summer outfit. The material is really light so I can endure the horrible heat while looking cute and the pop of colors from the palm trees on the navy blue makes me look like a Hawaiian tourist, which I don't mind at all. At first when I had a little issue with that it wasn't shorts like I hoped it would be but I need a good skirt in my wardrobe anyway. The second is issue is just a little pet peeve. WHY IS THERE BUTTONS ON THE BACK OF THE TANK? Like, wUT? I just don't understand that. If you would like to explain this to me, please do. I would appreciate it! Back to the look, I wanted to keep everything simple so I wore my thrifted old lady sandals and Miche  knitted purse to add a clash of texture. Also, the top was a little longer than I wanted to be so I tied it in a knot to create a crop top look. Noice little summer outfit here, dontcha think? Would you style this look any different than the way I did? Let me know!

  1. Oooh this co-ord is adorable!
(I think there are buttons on the back just as an extra detail? ;)

    1. Thank you so much! I just find them kind of odd to be in the back, haha ♡

  2. Love this look! It is such a perfect summer outfit. I think there are buttons on the back because they didn't like how it look on the front I guess and also to help you adjust/fit it like how sometimes there are zippers on the back of a shirt or top? Seriously though love your sandals they are such a rad thrift find! :)

    1. Thanks Allison! It's weird, like if you can't fit it well, you unbutton the back? lol, I think it would be better if there was a zipper on the back. Yeah, the sandals were only $1! ♡

I would probably style your co-ord with black converse and a black bucket hat!

  10. I really need to get some coordinates for this summer. Love your one and I'm just gob-smacked at how your sandals are thrifted! What? England is in desperate need of cool thrifting shops that doesn't charge a load of dime! Also, I would pair the matching piece with a really long lace cardi or kimono. I'd also match the skirt with a black and white tee with chunky white shoes and retro white sunnies. Uh I'm dreaming about it already! <3

    1. Please do, I think you'll look so great in them! I literally got the sandals for $1 at my treasured thrift store. I'm surprised that there isn't a token thrift store where you can find so many jewels! I'm sure that you'll find one real ASAP. I think the two piece would look great with a kimono! Ohhhh, I love the contrasting colors with a monochrome look! ♡

  18. aw the dress really is so cute! and i know what you mean about the buttons thing! I have the same pet peeve about random buttons! and yeah, this dress is definitely perfect for summer. I live in Thailand, so it's always scorching hot over here and most of the time, i'm finding outfits that i could wear in this heat!

    1. Thank you so much! I think random buttons are just so weird or when a pair of jeans don't have pockets, lol. I can believe it's hot there. I live in the desert and it's almost 100 degrees everyday! ♡
