DAVID BOWIE

I guess no matter where you are, day-night, summer-winter, my place or yours, I'm always going to complain about the weather. Kansas, you're super humid and you can't decided on what type of weather you want; California, when it's Spring it's Summer. When it's Fall it's still Summer. When it's Winter, it's still Summer. It's Summer 24/7, 52 weeks, 365-freakin' days. I'm doomed to stay in my room with the curtains closed and binge on old cartoons on Boomerang (I could have possibly just done that today).

I have some exciting news! I'm finally enrolled back into school after a 2 year break! I know when I read back on this when I'm near finals I'm just going to be like, "fml, I don't want to be in school anymore. Just get me Del Taco's chili cheese fries and strawberry lemonade and I'll be good everyday." But for now, I'm beyond excited. It's like one step closer to my dream job(s), I still can't decide whether I want to become a PR or a Buyer, hehe. I'll tell you guys my classes once I school is a bit closer, but I am majoring in Clothing and Textiles and then hopefully transfer to FIDM to continue my educational journey. Anyone else have major plans with school or closer to fulfilling their dreams? And any tips for my major, job choices, or just school? I'm all.... ears??? Maybe eyes is a good choice lol.

David Bowie Tee: Vintage, Shorts: Wetseal, Fringe Vest: H&M, Booties c/o Heavenly Couture, Jewelry: Vintage, Sunglasses c/o Wow Vintage

So I've been diggin' the bohemian vibes I've been seeing all over chictopia and other bloggers like Courtney of The Style Playlist and Eugenie of Feral Creature, that it's just starting to rub off on me. I love the laid back look with different textures and the look of putting on every single jewelry that you own (that's what I did lol). Since it's been so damn hot, I wanted to put something together so even after  I'm done taking pictures, I can still go out and be comfortable. I haven't worn my David Bowie tee in awhile so I paired it up with some snakeskin print booty shorts from Wetseal, my booties from Heavenly Couture, and my awesome, oh-so-cool H&M knitted fringe vest to complete this casual look. I'm pretty sure this is one of my most laid back looks on my blog lol.

Also, I'm doing an Bohemian IFTU for my next blogpost so if you would like to be featured, send me an email with your looks and blog name to get a chance to be featured! It's a great way to connect with other bloggers and get great exposured! So make sure to email me with the subject "Bohemian IFTU" to AlexisSplash@gmail.com. Can't wait to see lovelies! ♡

P.S: Is there anything you would love to see a video of? Outfit hauls, Tags, daily routines, challenges?

HEAVENLY COUTURE COLLABORATION

I really, really, really don't like gloomy days, though it's nice a cool down, but it's just horrible lighting to take pictures in. It's just annoying having to fix my camera settings every five minutes because the sun doesn't know whether or not to come out. D:

Anywho, Memorial Weekend is coming up and I'm going to be busy non-stop because for once, I'm going to ton of social events. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy social events but not because I socialize, but because I get to people watch (as creepy as that sounds). I've never been the sociable person just because I'm ultra shy and I hate being judged all the time. Or it could just be I lack the confidence of keeping up a conversation with a total stranger. I tend to stutter, can't look you in the eye, and fidget around a lot. -.- Does talking to yourself in the mirror actual increase your self-confidence or has the Sims been totally lying to me all my life? Does anyone else have some type of issue when talking to other people like I do?

Qupid Fringed Faux Suede Booties c/o: Heavenly Couture

Guys, my prayers have been answered! For the longest time, I've been freaking out because I didn't own a pair of black booties in my closet, but thanks to Heavenly Couture, I officially have a pair! I wear a size 5.5 and usually have a problem with shoes because my fit is so narrow but these fit like a glove! It has a 2.5" heel which, believe or not, is still pretty tall for me since I'm not used to heels at al but still comfortable to walk in because of the cushioned insoles. But because I like to be super comfortable in shoes, I like to buy gel insoles so my knees won't be aching.

Let's talk about looks. I mean, aren't they so freaking beautiful! I love the suede and the fringe detailing gives the booties a boho chic look. I also love the wooden heel because it's just so classic.
Overall, I give these boots an A because you can't go wrong with classic black booties. ♡

If you're on a budget and always have an addiction to shopping like I do (and don't need no help!) then you need to go to Heavenly Couture ASAP! You can't go wrong with them because literally everything is $16, while their premium items are only $22.99! They have plenty of trendy clothing, accessories, and shoes! Be sure to check them out and I promise you won't be disappointed.

HEY!

I've been kind of M.I.A lately do to doing "adult" things such as driving, still looking for a job, and getting all my school stuff together. It's actually a rude awakening like "HEY! *use Navi's voice from Zelda* You're an adult now. Please get yourself together because girl, you can no longer sit in your room and watch anime all day." But you know what, it doesn't mean I can't have fun and enjoy life, right? Remember, you can always have fun while being responsible. It's just up to you.

In all honesty, all I want to do is where an oversize t-shirt, listen to music, and eat a big bowl of mixed fruits. These past "spring" days have been quite terrible and made me lazy to the extreme. Like, is this really the bigger signs of climate change? Soon spring and fall will no longer exist and it'll just be summer and winter for the rest of our days. Talk about being dramatic (calm down Alexis, it's all in your head).

Crop Top: Arden B, Shorts: Thrifted, Flannel: Ralph Lauren,

I finally cleaned my room after I don't know how many days and I found my Deandri harness! I haven't worn it in sometime so I thought it would look pretty good if I actually put it through the belt loops of my shorts. I'm not sure if you were supposed to wear it like that or what, so if I'm late in the game because of it, oops. Of course the almighty white out trend is still going strong so I couldn't resist putting this outfit together without a pop of color. Also, I need black boots! I don't understand why I don't have a pair and it's seriously killing me. -.-
